History
KS Service Center originated from the parent company KS Profiel, founded in 1975. In order to obtain purchasing advantage for the profiles for its clients, the company acquired its own slitter in 2005. This immediately makes KS more flexible in its delivery times. Overcapacity of the slitter is quickly used for other steel processing companies.
An extensive network of steel suppliers is created and in 2010 its own ‘Band en Plaat’ (Strip and Sheet) business unit is established. This unit, soon employed 20 people, does nothing more than buying steel competitively and producing slit steel strip and sheets. In 2018, ‘Band en Plaat’ (Strip and Sheet) became KS Service Center BV. The new name better represents its distinguishing capacity: fast and high-quality service at a competitive price. As a fully independent operating company, KS Service Center now supplies slit steel strip and steel sheets to a large number of clients in the Benelux.
