Custom-cut sheet steel: save time in your production process
Custom-cut sheet steel can significantly reduce the number of processing steps in your production process. When steel sheets are delivered in the required length, there is no need to cut the material to size yourself. This saves time, reduces waste and allows the sheet steel to be put into production more quickly.
Fewer processing steps and less handling
Standard sheet sizes do not always match the dimensions of your final product. As a result, additional processing is often required before the material can be cut, bent, formed, welded or punched. These steps require machine capacity, personnel and internal transport.
With custom-cut sheet steel, you can reduce this preparatory work. The sheets move more quickly to the next production stage, and the material is used more efficiently. The exact savings depend on your application and production process. That is why our steel specialists discuss in advance which dimensions and specifications best meet your requirements.

How we produce custom-cut sheet steel
Using our in-house cut-to-length line, KS Service Center processes coils into flat sheets tailored to your application and production process.
We unwind the coils, level the material and cut the sheet steel to your required length. Throughout the process, we take the material properties and agreed tolerances into account.
We process sheet steel with:
- Thicknesses from 0.45 to 6.0 mm
- Lengths up to 8,000 mm
- Various steel grades and coatings
- Dimensions tailored to your application
Because all steps are performed on a single production line, we can carefully control the entire process. This ensures consistent quality and reliable dimensional accuracy.
Steel grades and coatings
The right steel grade and surface treatment depend on the application, subsequent processing and the environment in which the final product will be used. KS Service Center supplies, among others:
- Zinc-magnesium-coated and Sendzimir-galvanised steel
- Hot-rolled pickled steel
- Pre-painted galvanised steel
Additional corrosion protection may be required in humid, industrial, agricultural or saline environments. For dry indoor environments, standard galvanised steel may be sufficient. We advise you on the combination of steel grade, coating, thickness and length that best suits your final product.

Consistent and verifiable quality
When sheet steel is processed directly in your production process, its dimensions, flatness and surface quality must be reliable. That is why we inspect the material during processing on our cut-to-length line.
Our sheets are supplied as standard with a 3.1 certificate. This ensures that the material properties and origin of the steel are documented and fully traceable.

Flexible delivery and careful packaging
Your material requirements may vary from one project to another. We therefore coordinate production volumes, delivery times and any call-off orders with your schedule and available storage capacity. This applies to both additional batches and recurring production volumes.
Packaging is also tailored to the product, destination and method of transport. Options include:
- Custom-made pallets and timber spacers
- Protective film or paper
- Edge protection and waterproof packaging
- Export packaging using treated timber
This keeps the sheet steel protected during storage and transport, ensuring it is ready for use in your production process at the agreed time.
