What did 2025 bring us, and what awaits us in 2026?

We are heading into a turbulent 2026, as many changes are affecting the steel market. The sector is in transition and a great deal is happening around us.

Geopolitically, the situation remains unpredictable, and within the EU mechanisms such as CBAM — a carbon levy on the CO₂ emissions of imported goods — are being implemented. What the exact impact will be remains to be seen in the coming period.

At the same time, these developments will also create opportunities. At KS, for example, we are certified under the CO₂ Performance Ladder and already provide our customers with detailed insight into the CO₂ footprint of our products and services. We look forward to embracing new opportunities and taking further steps in the field of sustainability.

As a supplier of sustainable slit strip steel and plates, we are well positioned to serve our customers:

• We stock galvanized and zinc-magnesium steel
• All our steel is sourced from reputable EU steel mills
• We offer a proven high level of service and reliability

KS Service Center maintains strong, long-term partnerships with European steel mills. From these partnerships our SLTO programme originated: Short Lead Time Offers. This means the time between customer order and delivery is very short. The benefits for our customers include lower inventory costs, reliable delivery and flexibility for unexpected or urgent orders — which we can often deliver within 48 hours.

With short lead times, we offer a wide range of zinc-magnesium and Magnelis products:

• S250GD up to S550GD
• Thicknesses from 0.5 to 6.00 mm
• ZM 90 up to ZM 430

There are also many possibilities in ZM620 and ZM800, and even more is coming: Magnelis 2.0 — to be continued!

In short, we are specialists in galvanized and zinc-magnesium steel supplied as semi-finished slit strip and/or sheets, and many customers already know where to find us.

I am therefore very proud of our employees — they are the foundation of everything we do. Together we share one mission: to improve a little every day and to provide our customers with exactly what they truly need.

As an organization, we never stand still. We continue to develop and continuously work on optimal quality.

Soon we will once again carry out a major shutdown of our slitting line for both preventive maintenance and technical improvements. We continue to invest — because we want to consistently deliver on our promises as a reliable partner to our customers.

Quality and sustainability are two key priorities at KS Service Center. The recertifications for ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 are again scheduled this year, alongside our CO₂ Performance Ladder certification. As a proven sustainable partner, we are happy to work with our customers to make processes more environmentally conscious, more circular and future-proof. Every day we strive to improve, take responsibility and practice good stewardship together.

We do this in the hands-on way you are used to from us: less packaging, sustainable packaging, collecting pallets for reuse, and of course transport with our electric truck.

As one of the frontrunners in sustainability, there are many possibilities to purchase sustainably produced steel from us. We source from several European steel mills, each with their own product labels and CO₂ reduction percentages. This can make choosing the right option complex — we are happy to guide you.
