The global focus on sustainability is currently peaking with the COP28 conference, where discussions and decisions are being formed that will affect the future of our planet. Personally, I look forward with hope to seeing what concrete sustainability efforts emerge from this meeting.

Within the walls of KS Service Center, we also have reason to rejoice. We have reached an important milestone: ISO 14001 certification is a fact! Over the past year, we have made an effort to implement an environmental management system. This establishes our policies, objectives, and a clear path to continuous improvement of our environmental impact.

Commitment to continuous improvement

At KS Service Center, "continuous improvement" is at the heart of everything we do. Whether it's our processes, goals, or daily activities, we are always striving to get better. Our goal is to be not only a reliable and flexible partner and supplier, but also a pioneer in sustainably produced strip steel and sheets.

A concrete example of our commitment to sustainability is our project to make the hydraulic units on the slitting machine and packing line demand controlled with frequency switches. This investment is expected to result in significant savings of 1,400 kWh of electricity per week! We are currently working on a thorough 0 measurement of our carbon footprint, about which we will share more details soon.

At KS Service Center, we see sustainability not as a goal, but as a journey. A journey in which we are constantly pushing boundaries and coming to new insights. We are determined to find innovative solutions that are both ecologically sound and economically viable. In this way, we not only contribute to a sustainable future, but also offer our customers a greener choice.

We look forward to what the future holds and remain passionate in our mission to contribute to a world where sustainability is the norm. Together with our team, partners and customers, we continue to build a greener and more prosperous future. Want to join us? Send me a message at
