Sustainable logistics: Our first train delivery of coils

At KS Service Center, we continually strive for sustainable solutions in all our business processes. Therefore, we are pleased to announce that we recently received our first delivery of coils by train, as part of our efforts to reduce our carbon footprint.

We are talking about as many as 12 coils, which corresponds to a total weight of 274 tons. By choosing train transportation, we not only reduce our CO2 emissions, but also keep 12 trucks out of traffic every week!

Using trains instead of traditional trucks to transport our goods is an important step toward more environmentally friendly logistics. Not only does it reduce greenhouse gas emissions, but it also offers numerous other benefits, including reduced congestion, lower transportation costs and increased transportation capacity.

After the train arrives, the coils are transported to our plant. In doing so, we use our Terberg terminal tractor, which is powered by HVO100 biofuel. This sustainable fuel enables us to save significant amounts of CO2 emissions, thus doing our part to create a cleaner and greener future.

With this new approach, we are taking another important step towards a more sustainable future. Train deliveries will take place weekly from now on.
